Plans to Build were contacted by the owners who recently purchased a rundown and non-operating caravan park in Launceston. Their brief as part of a Big 4 franchise from a successful caravan park they owned and operated in Cairns, Queensland, was to provide Launceston's only central caravan park with a much needed facelift with Big 4 branding. Quality cabin accommodation as well as updated van and camping sites along with new play areas, camp kitchen, BBQ facilities, renovated administration, services areas were all part of the design brief.
Project Outcome
Big 4 Launceston Holiday Park has quickly become a well recognised feature on the entry into Launceston and services a growing number of tourists on a daily basis. Different methods of construction have been used for the holiday cabins. The initial stage included prefabricated cabins constructed offsite then transported and craned into position. With the current stage of building the holiday cabins in situ due to the site constraints.
