About Us

Plans to build are a residential and small commercial Building Design and Drafting business that offers state-wide services at affordable rates. We work on a range of different project types from new residential builds, renovations, plans for alterations and additions of new or existing/non-compliant dwellings, (sheds, garages, decks) as well as small-medium sized commercial projects.

Based in Launceston Tasmania, Plans to Build is owned and operated by Leigh and Polly Dell with a small, dedicated team. Leigh has over 25 years’ experience as a licensed Building Designer. Plans to Build is now in its 8th year of operation. We like solving problems and helping people. Our combined knowledge and experience enables us to take on a broad range of projects and new challenges. A big part of our talent and success is down to our dedicated team who enjoy delivering a great service and great design to our valued clients. We care about those we work with and the work we provide.

Important stuff

Building Act and Registration

Leigh Dell is registered as a Licenced Building Designer for Plans to Build in accordance with the Building Act (TAS).

Insurance

Plans to Build are fully insured, covering Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and Workers Compensation.

Housing Industry Association (HIA)

Plans to Build is a member of HIA which is the official body of Australia’s home building industry. HIA support their members, helps the residential housing industry speak with a united voice, and promotes industry standards.
